2018 Trick or Treat Times Arlington, TX
Unlike other areas, there are no designated trick or treat times in Arlington. With that being said, most parents and kids hit the neighborhood streets on Halloween night once the sun starts to go down. We have found that most trick or treaters start collecting candy around 6 p.m. and return home around 8 or 9 p.m.
As a general rule of thumb, houses with their garage and/or porch lights on are signaling that they have candy to hand out. If you see no lights on, that may be a sign that you should skip that house and head to the next one. Sticking to this tradition helps to ensure that kids can quickly find participating houses and families who would prefer not to hand out candy or are not home don’t have kids lining their doors unnecessarily.
Whether you plan to hit the streets on foot or by car, it’s important to remember to keep an eye out for other trick or treaters and vehicles in the neighborhood trying to get around. If you are driving a vehicle in a residential area, we suggest dropping your speed, turning your headlights on, and keeping your eyes open for excited kids. We also suggest all pedestrians stick to crossing the streets at designated crosswalks or corners.
